Cure for Winter Chills
Our family enjoys the adventure of the outdoors, so Spring and Fall are the season of fun for the Baker clan. We love to get out and about fishing, hiking, and seeing wildlife. Needless to say the winter months often seem long and cause a little cabin fever at our house. The one part of winter that I particularly enjoy is making homemade soups.
There's nothing like a hot and steamy soup with warm bread to make all the hanging around the house all right. It is surpising now a days you don't have to slave all day long in order to get that good home cooking taste. My favorite has got to be the Creamy Chicken Wild Rice Soup or the Broccoli Cheese Soup. Get some take and bake french bread. Cook it in the oven for 10 minutes. Break and serve. Dip it in your soup. No butter needed. Mmmmm mmmm good.
Troy's favorite is my crock-pot recipe of Traditional Beef Stew or the Broccoli Cheese Soup. Steven's favorite is Potato Soup with Ham and Cheese biscuits. Bake some biscuits, slice them, insert a slice of ham and one slice of Velvetta. Cook them in the microwave for 30 seconds. Check out my soup recipes.
